Uniformity Policy

Passed at GMM on September13, 1992
Amended April 10, 2005

Front Yards

No fences shall be erected in the front yards of units without the permission of the Board of Directors. A written request must be submitted to the Board outlining the type of fence planned.

No changing colours of exterior paint, including trim and doors, mailboxes, house numbers, and post numbers must remain uniform and in good condition. Bikes and/or large items should not be left for extended periods which could cause damage to the grass. Garbage may not be left outside doorways either in the front or back yards.

Front yards may be roped off in order to seed the grass, but the ropes must be taken down when the grass is established.

Back Yards

Members may at their own expense fence in their backyards to a distance of 20 feet from the patio doors (10 feet to be added to existing privacy fence) for the units closest to the property line, and 25 feet from the patio doors (15 feet added to the existing privacy fence) for the units that are jutted away from the property line. This fencing shall be either temporary chain link with top bars and corner posts approved by the maintenance committee and office, or board-on-board the same type as the existing privacy fences. The height can be either the same as the existing privacy fences or it can be four (4) feet high.

General

All private yards must always be kept neat and tidy, with grass cut, and/or snow shoveled regularly.

Only tricycles and bikes with training wheels can be ridden on the sidewalks. All others must ride on the drive or be walked on the sidewalks. No bikes may be left on the sidewalks.

Sidewalks must be kept clear at all times, this includes toys, bikes, etc. Extension cords may not be left on the ground or sidewalks. Members are responsible for regular snow shoveling and sanding of walkways.
