Use of Community Centre

Passed at GMM February 26, 1995

The hall is available to the members with a $30.00 Damage Deposit (which can be in the form of a post-dated cheque and can remain on file to cover multiple bookings). This will be cashed/kept only if the hall is not left in a suitable condition.

To use the hall a key may be picked up from the Co-ordinator of a block captain. The hall may be booked in advance if a special date is desired. Priority for hall bookings is Co-op Board business first, Co-op Committee business second, advance booking third and last-minute bookings only if the hall is not in use.

For special holidays such as Christmas from December 23 to 26 inclusive, New Years Day, Good Friday through Easter Monday, and Thanksgiving there will be a $30.00 non-refundable charge and a $30.00 damage deposit.

New Year’s Eve, December 31 is restricted to Co-op member functions, either official social committee functions or informal drop-in parties open to all members.

The member who picks up the key is responsible for the hall and all people who attend their gathering. Anyone under the age of 18 must always be supervised by an adult.

A hall booking agreement should be signed by members when booking the hall or a blanket form signed for booking and kept in member’s file.
